It’s the time of year when stores are featuring back-to-school sales and shopping events. In addition to purchasing clothes and backpack supplies, consider equipping a study area at home.

Your child’s input in this project is important in creating a sense of ownership! Ask your child to decorate the area and have a hand in choosing supplies. The designated spot does not need to take up an entire room (one end of a table will do)—but it does need to be an area that can be quiet and relatively free of distractions.
