Before your trip. . .
Together research the area where you will be staying. What famous people lived there? How is the area like or different from your hometown? What is it known for?
While you are away. . .
Encourage your children to send selfies and write emails to you describing what they have been doing while you are away.
Take your own pictures and share in writing what has happened to you while you are gone.
Take one of your child’s books with you. When you call near bedtime, read some of it to your child.
When you return. . .
Bring your children collectible souvenirs (flags, keychains, pins, etc.) from each trip.
